# Teams & Billing

## Teams

Teams are the organizational unit in ChainContext. Each team:

* Belongs to an **account** (which has a billing plan)
* Contains one or more **projects** (MCP servers)
* Has **members** with role-based access

### Roles

| Role       | Permissions                       |
| ---------- | --------------------------------- |
| **Owner**  | Full access, billing, delete team |
| **Admin**  | Manage projects, invite members   |
| **Member** | View and edit projects            |

### Inviting members

1. Go to your team page → **Members** tab
2. Enter the email address
3. Select a role
4. Click **Invite**

The invitee receives an email with an accept link. If they don't have a ChainContext account, they'll be prompted to create one first.

### Upgrading

Upgrades take effect immediately. Your account is prorated for the remaining billing period.

1. Go to **Billing** in the dashboard sidebar
2. Select a plan
3. Complete checkout via Stripe

### Downgrading

Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. Your features remain active until then.

### Cancellation

Cancel anytime from the Stripe Customer Portal (accessible via Billing → Manage Subscription). Access continues until the end of the paid period.
